The Perfect Core
The Perfect Core (パーフェクトコア, Pāfekuto Koa?) is the powerful core of the planet of Vestroia. The main plot of Bakugan Battle Brawlers was to find the two halves of the Perfect Core and restore it. The Battle Brawlers protected its separate halves from the evil Naga who wanted to use their power to rule the universe.
For some time, Drago and the Perfect Core were physically connected, but as of Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia, they are now separate, and Drago keeps some of its unlimited energy. For a short while, Spectra Phantom wanted to capture the Perfect Core energy from Drago to make Helios MK2 the Ultimate Bakugan.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers
The Perfect Core made its first appearance in a flashback, when Nova Lion explained the history of Vestroia. Long ago, Vestroia was one world, but when the Core split into two separate Cores, the world shattered into six realms based on each Bakugan attribute.
After evolving into a Ultimate Bakugan, Drago became strong enough hold the power of the Cores. When Drago absorbed the Infinity Core and the Silent Core, he became the Perfect Dragonoid, and had complete control over all six attributes. Following Wavern's spirit, he went to the center of Vestroia and then sacrificed himself to fuse both Cores into the Perfect Core, reforming the six realms back into a single world: New Vestroia. Drago's soul would remain the center of the Core, the foundation for the new world.
Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia
When New Vestroia was invaded by the Vexos, an awakened Drago was forced to watch as his friends were defeated and captured, unable to help them since he was the Perfect Core. So the Six Ancient Warriors of Vestroia used their own energy to free Drago's soul from the Perfect Core and regenerate his body as Neo Dragonoid, a less powerful form than his previous. Through battles against Helios, Drago's intense emotions allowed him to use Perfect Core Abilities. The reason being, when Drago was freed from the Core, its energy was divided between New Vestroia and his body. Once Drago left the planet and returned to Earth, the Core began to fail and lose power from his absence. Apollonir soon left for Earth, intending to bring Drago back.
When Drago was taken by Spectra Phantom and corrupted into Vexos Dragonoid, he used Forbidden Ability Cards to force Drago to use the Perfect Core's full power and access all six Attributes. Since Drago was no longer an Ultimate Bakugan, his body was not capable of handling such power and was in danger of dying. If Drago were to die, the unstable Core would no longer be able to hold New Vestroia together and the planet would be destroyed again. To save Drago, Dan Kuso and Apollonir used Dragon Proudia to free him of Spectra's influence.
Once Drago returned to New Vestroia, he summoned the Perfect Core's power in battle again, his intense emotions beginning to heal it. Soon enough, Drago grew strong enough to be fully separated from the Perfect Core, granting him freedom. The process would leave the Core whole, and a piece of the Perfect Core's energy would remain in Drago from then on, allowing him access to its power, but without the original risk to the Core. Having became nearly as strong as the Core, Drago now possesses the means of opening the dimensional gateways to Earth and New Vestroia.
Months later, Spectra was confronted by Dan and revealed his true goal: to upgrade Helios into a supreme being above all, a literal Ultimate Bakugan. For this to happen, Spectra realized he needs Drago's Perfect Core Energy. In a battle of strength and wills, Drago overcame Helios.
When Drago nearly died to save Vestroia from the BT System, he found himself in an afterlife plane, there, Wavern appeared to Drago, to give him support and send him back. Because Wavern's spirit still possesses the same glow she had when she was alive (When she was bonded with the Infinity Core), Drago mistook her light as the Perfect Core for a moment. Thanks to Wavern's words, Drago refused to die and redirected the blast away to save the planet, his exposure to the Attribute Energies resulted in him evolving into Helix Dragonoid.
Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders
Drago learned that when the Original Perfect Core of Vestroia split millions of years ago, turning the planet into the realms of six attributes, the enormous energy released sent powerful Bakugan to the worlds of Neathia and Gundalia.
Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge
Throughout the season, Drago uses the Core's dimensional portal ability in order for he and Dan to travel to Vestroia for training.
While the Brawlers were trapped in the Doom Dimension, Drago attempted to use his various powers, including the Perfect Core's portal ability, to escape, but to no luck. Drago and the others instead had to rely on the Current of Time, to escape back to Earth.
Bakugan Battle Brawlers: The Video Game
Vladitor was a power hungry Bakugan who had a similar goal as Naga did. Eventually, he was destroyed by "Omega Leonidas".
Trivia
- The Perfect Core contains six orbs that represent the Bakugan Attributes, symbolizing how New Vestroia is one world for all Bakugan.
- When Drago was the Perfect Core, he was helpless to save his friends when they were captured by the Vexos, but not having a body at the time, just so happened to be the very reason he was safe from capture.
- Following Drago’s full separation from the Perfect Core, he retained some of its energy, allowing him to use Perfect Core abilities without endangering New Vestroia. The mechanics of this vary between the Japanese and English version:
- Japanese Version – The energy that was divided between Drago and New Vestroia, split completely, granting him his own independent Perfect Core.
- English Version – Drago kept a small spark of the Perfect Core, allowing him to call upon its power while remaining an independent entity.
- After being separated from the Perfect Core, Drago keeps the Core Diamond on his chest from his time as the Perfect Dragonoid. When using the Core's power or certain abilities such Dragon Eternal Force, the diamond glows with light blue. This implies that just like when Drago held the original Core, the remnant he now keeps is located there.
- Spectra has noted that after the full separation from the Perfect Core, Drago is slowly regaining the power he had as the Perfect Dragonoid. This implies Drago is becoming capable of handling the full power of the Core Energy he kept, meaning he is becoming a Ultimate Bakugan again.
- In Bakugan Battle Brawlers: The Video Game, Battle Ax Vladitor's signature ability Thousand Destroyer was a reference to the battle between Silent Naga and Infinity Dragonoid where both of their power levels were 1000 Gs.
- The only Bakugan that took out a core energy Bakugan without any help of core energy and without another Bakugan sacrificing their life was Omega Leonidas. However, Leonidas did need the help of 6 other Bakugan.
